Rufus.jpg - 41330 Bytes
Rufus is a male MastiffX just under 12 months old. He is absolutely lovely and very gentle, but sadly has been abused quite badly in the past. He likes people and wants attention, but needs to know he can trust you before he will not shy away. Although often fearful, he is never aggressive in anyway. He loves other dogs and is just starting to build up the courage to play. He is good in the yard during the day and is housetrained when inside. He really is just a big sook. Rufus went to live in his new home on 4 May 2002.
Bonnie (now Lotti) was adopted on 28 May 2002."I have been here for six months, and am finally getting the family trained to do the things I want them to do. The boss takes me for long walks, and we both like those. He's not up to sprinting like I am, and he won't let me catch a galah when I chase them. I must try to get him to be more active. The missus loves her garden, and won't let me bury bones under her shrubs, so I've found a soft patch of earth under the house. I can gnaw bones there to my heart's content. The down-side is that I get dusty, and the boss then thinks I need a bath in the laundry tub - not fun. Initially all the people who came to the house thought I was timid. Not so, I just didn't want anybody taking me for granted. Now I just lavish love on everybody - what the heck; they all love to be fussed over, just like I do!"

jack2.jpg - 22634 Bytes
Jack is a ten week old Kelpie X puppy. He has had a hard start in life, spending most of his short life in the pound, therefore, Jack needs a little extra care with his feeding, worming, house training and socialisation. He is a very sweet little chap who already displays loyalty to people. Jack was adopted on 28 May 2002.
Forrest is a 4mth old male HeelerX pup. Forrest was born with a slight balance problem, but apart from that he is an affectionate, lively pup who loves a run, cuddles, and other dogs. Forrest was adopted on 1 June 2002. "He now goes by the name of Jasper and spends his days going to work with the Dad on the tow truck (but he has to sit in the cab with his harness on, because he's too precious to ride on the back of the truck!), spends his nights on the bed and spare time at obedience classes."

chester
Chester was neglected in the past and then dumped. Chester went to a loving and understanding new family on 6 June 2002."Chester (or 'Chessie' as he is regularly called) is very well. I have yet to see 'Chessie' worn out after any exercise (no matter how far he is walked), I think he's actually a kelpie in an extra small body! [Son] had to do a talk at school recently. His talked was titled "Funny Things My Pets Do", this included Chester putting a tennis ball in the toilet (or the bath) and barking for someone to get it back! I'm also going to talk to the 10 year olds about 'recycling'..... yes this includes dogs!"
Lucy (now Misha) was described by her foster carer as the sweetest and most gentle natured dog she has ever met! She loves other dogs, and met anyone who walked through the door with love and affection. Her lucky new family adopted her on 7 June 2002.

Daley
Daley (now Sampson) is an eight-year old Border Collie who was rescued from the pound on 10 April 2002. Sampson went to enjoy life with his new family out on a rural property on 9 June 2002. Sadly, in January 2003, Sampson passed away from an aggressive auto-immune disease. "He was a darling in every way possible, and we loved him dearly."
Emma was adopted by her foster carer on 22 June 2002. Sadly, Emma needed to be euthanased in October due to age-related ill health. Rest in peace, dear Emma.
