He is happiest with his head in your lap gazing up at you adoringly with those gorgeous eyes, or lying quietly near to wherever you are in the house. Jasper went to a new home where he will be spoilt rotten and loved like a best mate, only child and superdog all rolled up in one.

Intelligent and Friendly: Mindy
Sex: Female

She has learnt to sit, drop, heel, sit stay and down stay, and sit for pats. She will also retrieve articles and loves to be given little jobs of carrying things. Mindy will be a reasonably active dog and will require a daily walk and continued training to reach her full potential. Mindy would make an outstanding obedience, agility or flyball dog or just a wonderful family pet for an active family.

darcy
bobo

 Gentle and playful: Darcy
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 1 year
Breed: Border collie x kelpie
Size: Medium
Description: Gentle, cheerful, soft-natured, and very likeable, Darcy is an easy dog to manage as he is generally obedient and keen to please. He is quite submissive and sometimes wary when he meets people – however he is basically a well adjusted dog and given gentle handling and patience, is prepared to be just about anyones buddy. Darcy doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, he is trustworthy around livestock and is especially gentle with small childen. He has particularly good doggy social skills and really enjoys doggy play – he would make a great companion for another dog who enjoys a good romp. Darcy is calm, quiet and well behaved around the home – he enjoys just being around his people. Being of working-dog heritage he also has great athletic stamina, and he would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys jogging, although a daily walk would also suffice to keep Darcy happy. He is a pleasure to exercise off lead, as he stays relatively close and comes back when called. Darcy is an intelligent dog who learns quickly with gentle, reward based training methods. He responds to a range of basic commands already and with some continued training as he matures, he could be a really outstanding pet.

Friendly and Gentle: BoBo
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 5 years
Breed: Border Terrier x
Size: Small medium (7.2kg)
Description: Bobo is a very friendly and gentle dog with a lovely nature. He has adapted very quickly to his new foster home, and gets along well with his foster-mum's own 3 small dogs. He is not barky or jumpy, and loves a cuddle and having his tummy rubbed. BoBo just nestles in to you and laps up as much attention and affection as he can get. BoBo has a very cute 'grimace' (which is actually a crooked smile), an expression he gets when he is enjoying a back scratch. Bobo would suit a person, couple or family, especially if the kids are old enough to spend time playing with and walking him. Border Terriers are smart, active and learn quickly. BoBo is a very lovable dog looking for a loving home.

Kind and loyal: Maya
Sex: Female
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: Kelpie x
Size: Medium
Description: Maya is a real doll - a kind, gentle, sweet-natured girl who loves people and melts you with her beautiful eyes. She is housetrained and enjoys a walk, then loves to just settle down, cuddle up and relax by your side or to potter with you whilst you do your thing. This little sweetie is a homebody, she comes when called and doesn't wander off. Sadly her previous owner moved into a nursing home, and Maya was sent to the pound. She was so lovely we just had to rescue her and give her another chance to find love and her special someone. She is a real pleasure to have around, generally quiet, good with other dogs and trustworthy with kids.

tubby
casey

 Friendly and relaxed: Tubby
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: Kelpie x
Size: Medium (23kgs)
Description: Fleet of foot and sharp of mind, Tubby would make a great best mate. He is a delightful, happy soul who is unusually relaxed and easy going for a young working-breed dog. Tubby is an active dog who walks well on a the lead. He loves to chase a ball, bringing it right back again and again, so you neednt work up too much of a sweat giving him his daily exersise. He has some basic training and picks things up extremely quickly as he is naturally cooperative and highly intelligent. He would likely excel at competitive dog sports such as agility or flyball though he would also be happy with a more sedate lifestyle. Tubby settles into a routine easily, is house trained and generally a very clean dog. He's alert and loyal, and travels well in the car. Tubby is the sort of dog you could take anywhere and do everything with, confident that he'll be well behaved. He plays very well with other dogs, and would do best with doggy or human company rather than being left alone all day while his people were out. Tubby really is a wonderful dog who is all you could want out of a four legged friend.

Casey had only a few months with his adopted mum as he suddenly went blind and developed an aggressive nature due to a brain tumour, so to ease his suffering he had to be euthanased and is now at Rainbow Bridge. RIP Casey from your foster mum. Maree.
