Happy go lucky: Sidney

In the short time that I've had Sidney he has bonded as strongly as industrial strength super glue. He is always by my side and just delightful. Clever and eager to please, Sidney will learn what ever you teach him. Sidney hasn't had a lot of interaction with other dogs and can be a bit dominant at first, so it is essential that whoever takes him on is prepared to make the effort to socialize him with lots of other dogs. Cuddly gentleman: Stanley

He's perfectly happy lying at your feet and he is generally obedient - comes when called, doesn't bark unnecessarily, great on the lead. He is playful and energetic when the situation calls for it, though calm, sensible and well behaved in the home. Gus
Flynn

  Patient and placid: Gus
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: Spitz X
Size: Large (around 30 Kilos)
Description: Gus is simply gorgeous - a lamb in wolves clothing! He is a calm dog who gets on well with other dogs and enjoys human company. In our house Gus instantly became the dominant dog, but he did so without any sign of aggression, instead he seemed to immediately gain the respect of our other dogs. Gus is extremely patient and very gentle. He copes well with both small excitable dogs and bigger pushy dogs. Gus would make an excellent companion and provide a calming influence for a lively dog. Gus is a big boy who loves a cuddle and enjoys a daily walk. His long fluffy coat needs at least weekly brushing, but as this is something that he thoroughly enjoys it isn't a chore, rather a lovely time to bond with him. Gus is currently being taught basic obedience and, as a keen learner, is making good progress. Despite his size he no trouble in the house, though he does shed some hair. While not toilet trained when he first came to us, Gus quickly learned what was expected of him in this area. His generally calm nature means he is sensible and reliable indoors. He simply loves to lie on a rug and watch the world go by. While great with company, we think Gus would also cope well with being the sole dog in a household. With regular walks, some caring human company, a lovely spot in the sun and a vantage point where he could survey the neighbourhood, Gus would be a very happy boy. While his size means that he would probably not be suitable for a family with very small children, Gus's beautiful nature would make him an ideal family pet.

Obedient Gentleman: Flynn
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 5 years
Breed: Kelpie
Size: Medium
Description: A polite, considerate and gentle dog, Flynn just wants someone special to share his life with. A previous owner has put some effort into training this boy with the result that Flynn is already well trained, and is very obedient, quiet, sensible and always well behaved. He is a thorough gentleman, he wouldn't dream of barking out of turn, jumping on guests, being pushy or demanding or pulling on the lead, and his standard greeting is simply to roll over. He's wonderful to walk off lead, staying relatively close and coming right back when called. Flynn likes to be really close to people, he'll lean up against you for a pat, or squeeze in behind you on the couch like an ergonomic cushion. He loves close physical contact, but he's also content to lie quietly on the floor at your feet or just keep you company as you work in the garden. Flynn gets on well with dogs and he respects cats but by far his greatest love is people. In fact he's probably the most devoted and loving dog I've ever fostered. He would be fine in a one dog household and would fit in well to a wide range of home situations, and is certainly gentle enough for very young kids. Flynn will appreciate a daily walk, and being a Kelpie, is quite capable of keeping up with you on a 5 km run - however he's just as happy lying around all day.

Hero
Pluto

  Patient, friendly and outgoing: Hero
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 15 weeks
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
Size: Medium
Description:Hero started out life with a poor diet which left his forelegs badly deformed from lack of calcium, then he was dumped and left to die. Following his rescue, and with several weeks of having his legs strapped, and an appropriate diet, Hero's legs are 100% cured. He is a stunning pup both physically and in temperament (though also quite a handful) and after being bombarded with offers to adopt Hero, we finally settled on one excellent home where he will be loved, appreciated and safe for the rest of his life. Taking dogs who are discarded like trash, and finding homes for them where they are adored and cared for, and give back just as much love in return, is what makes rescuing and fostering dogs so rewarding.

Gentle and active: Pluto
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: cross breed
Size: Medium
Description:Pluto is such a softie. Even though he's had a hard life up till now, he hasn't lost his optimism or his sweet and gentle temperament. He's obviously a smart dog and though it appears he has had no formal training in the past, he is naturally obedient and responsive and well behaved. Pluto is submissive to dogs and people, but friendly rather than timid so he gets on well with all sorts of dogs, and loves to play. He's affectionate and loyal and a pleasure to take for a walk as he doesn't pull on the lead. Off lead he trots obediently at your heels, apart from the odd sniffing foray, from which he returns immediately when called. Pluto's a fit and active boy, but also calm and sensible. He's toilet trained and generally quiet. A great looking dog, Pluto will make a lovely pet.

Murphy
Macca

  Friendly and Cuddly: Murphy
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 18 months
Breed: Maltese x Shih Tzu
Size: Small
Description: Murphy is a very happy, friendly little fellow having a quiet and gentle nature. He loves people of all ages, especially children. Murphy gets on well with cats and loves nothing more than to have a romp with the other dogs. He obeys basic commands like sit and loves to dance to get your attention. He also travels well in the car. Murphy would suit most family situations, young or older, where he would lots of love and attention. As Murphy has a longer coat, it will be necessary for him to be brushed regularly to ensure that his coat doesn't matt.

"The Dancer": Macca
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: Chihuahua cross
Size: Small (4 kg)
Description: Don't be misled by his serious expression - Macca is a very happy chappy. It is just that his markings do look a bit like frown lines. If you like dancing, Macca is the perfect partner for you. He likes nothing better than to prance in front of you hoping that this will entice you to dance with him. He is a happy, friendly chap who just wants to be near you and loves to play. Macca has fitted in very well with my 6 other "little" dogs, both male and female. He has a wonderful temperament and a passive nature; loves the car and is happy to sit quietly and enjoy the ride till he gets to his destination. Macca can use a doggie door and loves to sit outside in the sun. Macca is great with kids and good with cats but would be best suited to a family with children over 5, since he is a little delicate due to the Chihuahua side of his family. Macca also needs to have a doggie companion about his own size.

Ebby has a wonderful loving nature and will try hard to do what you ask of her. She's happy to go into her crate at night and sleep very soundly until you greet her in the morning! She's intelligent too so would really benefit from some obedience or agility training. She loves people and dogs alike. In no time at all Ebony connected with my other fosterdog Andy and they are now great playmates! She wants most of all to be part of a family that she can love and be loved and cared for in return. Rare gem: Carla
Sex: Female
Age: 15 weeks
Breed: Blue Cattle dog
Size: Medium (when adult)
Description: What a find! Carla is such a lovely pup, already showing signs of having an outstanding adult temperament. She is playful and friendly, with enough self-confidence to make her relatively easy going and relaxed. Its clear Carla is highly intelligent, she learns what is expected of her very quickly and will need training, regular exercise and plenty of attention as she matures to ensure she develops into the top class pet she has the potential to be. Carla loves the rough and tumble of kids and other dogs, and would be happiest adopted into a family with a doggy playmate for her, and where she will be allowed in the house and included in every-day family activities.

Indi
Boyd
  Bright and affectionate: Indi
Sex: Female
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: Kelpie X
Size: Medium (14 kgs)
Description: Kelpie intelligence in a slightly smaller and less exuberant body. Indi is just desperate for someone to love. Though a bit timid at first, she will always look to me whenever we encounter a new situation, she is inquisitive and likes to see what's happening around the house. Less active than a typical working Kelpie she still needs her walk every day, but when it's time to relax at home she will be more than happy to lie by the heater and is small enough to curl up on your lap while you watch TV or read (this is by far her first preference). Though a mild mannered dog she makes a big effort to bark an alarm if something's not right around the house. Indi has settled in remarkably well and is a joy to have as part of the family. If you need a loving companion to fill a hole in your household please come and meet Indi

Diamond in the rough: Boyd
Sex: Male
Age (approx): 2 years
Breed: German Shepherd X
Size: Medium (21 kgs)
Description: Boyd is a very loving, happy, friendly, active and intelligent boy. He loves nothing better than to be close to his family and lay at your feet with his head gently resting on your foot or to sit beside you so that you can stroke his face. He doesn't pull on the lead when walking, comes back when called and sits on command. He is good with other dogs and enjoys a game, so Boyd would love to be in a home with another playful dog to keep him company. Boyd's new family would ideally be able to give him lots of regular exercise and take him to dog obedience classes, to help him build on his "new found skills". A loyal, good-natured dog who with a bit of time and effort will be the most marvellous companion and lifelong friend.

Coco loves her walks and doesn't pull on the lead. She also loves wading around in water and going for drives in the car.
