is a lovable girl with no vices whatsoever; all she wants to do is be
with you. She will play with my other fosters but is also content to be
with a quiet companion dog. Angie would be fine in a house with a
semi retired or retired person/couple or a house with a doggie
companion and children as I have been told that she gets on well with
kids. Rescued: 24 April 2005 Adopted: 25 May 2005 | Looking for Love: Bonny Sex: Female Age: (approx) 3 months Breed: Mini Foxie x Chihuahua Size: Small Description:

| | Golden Boy: Floyd Sex: Male Age (approx): 5 years Breed: Spaniel X Size: Small/Medium Description: Floyd
made himself completely at home from the minute he arrived!! He is a
lovely and very handsome fellow who will give you "the look" then roll
over for a tummy rub. This guy has the sweetest personality that really
melts your heart! Floyd is wonderful with our other
dogs, and he seems to have at least basic training.
Floyd has the benefits of being a dog past the puppy stages with a
lot of life ahead of him. Rescued: 17 April 2005 Adopted:14 May 2005
| Happy and Friendly: Lacey Sex: Female Age (approx): 6 months Breed: Silky x Maltese Size: Small Description:
Lacey is a little bright spark. She is always happy and is very
glad to see you and will even wave her little front feet at you.
She loves cuddles and will play games and then curl up in your lap for
a nap. Lacey in a short time has learnt how to sit and comes when
called. While not yet completely house trained, she is learning
so quickly that it won't be long and she will be. Lacey would
best suit an active home where she would get a lot of attention.
She would probably even excel at dog sports. She interacts well
with other dogs and cats. Lacey has a fine silky coat that will
need to be brushed a couple of times a week to ensure that she doesn't
get knots. Rescued: 27 April 2005 Adopted: 8 May 2005

| Gentle pup: Bengali (Benny for short) Sex: Male Age (approx): 4 months Breed: Staffy/mastiff crossbreed Size: Currently medium, likely to be large Description: Bengali
is a striking dog whose orange/tan coat and black stripes give him the
appearance of being a little tiger. But it’s really his gorgeous
personality that will win you over. For such a young pup Benny is
fantastic. He is quiet, gentle, submissive with other dogs and
very keen to please. He loves company and is never far from us –
typically he is either having a nap at our feet in the evening or
sitting quietly by our sides when we are gardening at the weekend. As a
typical pup, Benny does like a game – and will happily romp with our
other adult dogs. That said, he is a gentle romper, who likes his
games to be relatively subdued. Benny travels well in the car,
walks nicely on and off the lead and is quickly learning some basic
obedience. His short coat is easy care and is not prone to
shedding, making him all the better for in the house. On that
front Benny is also house trained, which also means less mess
inside. So far we haven’t heard him bark and he does not cry when
he is put outside or to bed – which is great for such a young
fellow. Benny’s new family – whoever they are – will be very
lucky. Rescued: 13 April 2005 Adopted: 3 May 2005
| Little Sweetheart: Millie Sex: Female Age: approx 6 yrs Breed: Maltese Size: Small Description:
Millie is one of the sweetest little natured dog you will ever find.
She is very people oriented and loves to be cuddled and stay by our
side, when we are relaxing at night or going about doing normal tasks
around the home. She is very small and would be a great companion
for an older person or couple who would be kind and gentle in return to
the love she would give them. Millie is a quiet little girl.
Although we have only had Millie for a short time, she appears to be
house-trained. Rescued: 18 April 2005 Adopted: 4 May 2005

| | Fantastic Buddy: Cooper Age (approx): 11 months Sex: Male Breed: Mastiff X Size: Large Description:
Cooper is a gorgeous, gentle, goofy boy, he reminds us of Scooby Doo,
He loves chasing butterflies, which is a real sight to see. At 11
months Cooper is very well behaved, he loves a play either with
humans or doggy mates. He is about as tall as he will get, although he
should fill out a bit. Cooper is gentle with other dogs and people, he
is good with kids and cats and has learnt that the free range duck at
his carer’s place is “out of bounds” after a couple of weeks. Now he
pays her no attention at all. Cooper is house trained and is an
excellent traveller. He loves, attention, cuddles and to have his belly
scratched, and is learning to wait his turn in a household with three
other dogs and a cat. Although Cooper hasn’t had much training he comes
every time he is called, even when the kangaroos are about, he sits,
waits for his dinner, and does well on a lead. He is smart and keen to
please and further training will see him develop into a real gentleman,
loyal, easy going and fun. Cooper would do best in a family that has
time to continue his training, can exercise him daily and provide him
with lots of cuddles. Rescued: 7 April 2005 Adopted: 5 May 2005
| Gorgeous and faithful: Bella Sex: Female Age (approx): 3 years Breed (approx): Labrador x Size: Medium - Large Description:
This girl is a delight to have in our home. She greets us everyday with
a gorgeous grin and a waggy tail. She is extremely affectionate and
loves nothing more than spending time with her family. Bella gets on
wonderfully with all my other dogs - big and small and will
happily play with them for hours. She is also OK with my cat, which she
finds incredibly exciting! The best thing about Bella is that she is
very well trained in most aspects. She will sit, come every time she is
called, walks beautifully on the lead, and responds brilliantly to
everyday commands, she will even shake paws with you if you ask. She is
quite new to my home and is still a little bit excitable and is
learning not to jump up and lick everyone that walks in the door, but
because of her existing training, she will not have a problem with
teaching her new commands and learning what she can and can't do in her
new household. Bella will require a daily walk and a good sized yard to
run around in, and would prefer a doggy playmate to keep her company.
She would also be excellent at agility or fly ball. Bella would be
great for most households who want a big playful sook who is fun to be
around. She is also suitable to be with children over the age of 7, due
to her size. If you want a new loyal and faithful friend, then Bella is
the dog for you! Rescued: 27 April 2005 Adopted: 5 May 2005

| Good natured bloke: Wally Sex: Male Age: approx 18 months Breed: cross breed Size: medium/large Wally's new owner 's report:
"I just want to say a very big thank you for rescuing this wonderful
dog, Wally. He has made a huge impact in my family. My two grandkids
have met him for the first time and he was so good. After a long time
playing he just laid down and let my 4yr grand daughter brush him and
just love him. Wally was just delightful with the kids. I found getting
the dog through ARF is a wonderful experience. You just get a lot
of support and advice with the care of the pet. I know that if I have
any questions with Wally's care Kate will be there. I will not hesitate
to get another dog through this organisation down the track. Thank you ARF for the rescuing my new best friend." Rescued: 13 April 2005 Adopted: 6 May 2005
| Sweet and Cuddly: Lucy Sex: Female Age (approx): 10-12 weeks Breed: Small Crossbreed Size: Small Description:
Lucy is a real sweetie. She just adores cuddles and her favourite
spot is curled up next to you or on your lap and even likes to sleep
with our foster kittens. She gets on well with children, other
dogs and cats. She loves games, especially with balls and squeaky
toys. Lucy has learnt how to sit and comes when she is
called. She is an unusual looking girl, small breed with a lovely
short brindle coat. It is hard to tell exactly what breed she is
but could possibly have a bit of dachshund and/or maybe a bit of foxy. Rescued: 27 April 2005 Adopted: 6 May 2005

| Sweet, sweet girl: Sharney Age: 18 months Sex: Female Breed: Shih Tzu X Size: Small Description:
Sharney is an adorable girl who gets on with all my dogs and is a great
playmate tothe other younger fosters. She loves people and kids
but is not real fussed on cats, so a cat free home would be best.
Sharney is an intelligent girl and will respond to basic commands, she
is house trained as long as she has access to outside. As Sharney
has playmates all day in her foster home, her ideal home would be with
another dog round about her size so she has the best of both worlds ;
doggy play during the day and her family's company at night. Rescued:17 April 2005 Adopted: 13 June 2005 | Gentle and Intelligent: Tim Age (approx): 5 months Sex: Male Breed: Cattle dog X Size:Medium Description:
Tim (“Timmy” to his friends) is a young happy-go-lucky,
cattledog-cross looking for a family to pamper him with toys and
bones! Tim is smart and learns very quickly. He loves to explore and is
inquisitive, and will enjoy getting to know his new family and
environment. He is not a “pushy” dog and is not a “barker”. He enjoys
the company of other dogs and will try to fit in. His calm nature would
also make him very suitable for anyone with children. Timmy walks well
on a leash. He is a short-haired dog, appears not to shed any hair and
will therefore be easy to maintain within the family home.
Opportunities for play will pay significant dividends in maintaining
Tim’s easy and unobtrusive nature. Rescued: 24 April 2005 Adopted: 7 May 2005

|
| Gentle and Intelligent: Cassy Sex: Female Age: (approx) 2 years Breed: Bull terrier X Kelpie Size: Medium Description:
This beautiful and intelligent dog is a pleasure to have around.
Cassy has shown herself to be naturally obedient, and is also very
trainable, learning new commands in quick time. Cassy is gentle
and well behaved with my two small children, content to just be in
their company without being pushy or boisterous. She is also an
active and agile dog who enjoys her exercise. Cassy walks well on lead
without pulling, and when I let her run off lead she comes back quickly
when called. She is powerfully built and her shiny fur highlights
her rippling muscles - she's a very good looking dog. In
the home Cassy is a calm and sensible girl who stays out of the way and
doesn't demand attention - though she really loves a cuddle and is very
devoted and affectionate to people. Cassy plays well with other
dogs and enjoys their company, but she is just as happy lying at the
feet of her special person. She is a good watchdog, being
generally quiet and welcoming of visitors, but prepared to bark a
warning and behave protectively if something is wrong. Cassy is
house trained and generally a clean dog, she likes car drives and
paddling in water. She will need regular exercise and would be
happiest if allowed inside to just hang around her people whenever they
are home. Rescued: 25 March 2005 Adopted: 13 May 2005
| Clever and Devoted: Soxy Sex: Male Age (approx): 7 weeks Breed: Crossbreed Size: Medium-Large Description:
Soxy is the most outgoing pup of the threesome, he is the leader and is
showing himself to be very clever. Soxy comes when called, and
this morning even retrieved a ball and brought it all the way back to
be thrown again! This little fellow is also devoted to his people
and loves his cuddles and is never too far away. As Soxy is going
to mature into a reasonably active dog, he will need to go to puppy
classes for socialisation and training to help him mature into a
well-behaved adult. Soxy will also require regular exercise. Rescued: 12 May 2005 Adopted: 16 May 2005

| Quiet and Loving: Sally Sex: Female Age: approx 2 yrs Breed: Kelpie X Size: Small sized medium Description:
Sally is the quietest “working dog” I’ve met. She can keep up with
play, but doesn’t seem to ooze energy like lots of other dogs of her
type. Sally is just as happy sitting at your feet, or watching you
gardening as she is running around in the park or chasing the ball. She
is coming along well on the lead, and in a short time should be very
good on a lead. She is an intelligent girl, and learns extremely fast –
especially when she knows it’ll make her human happy. Sally is quite a
shy girl, but not the type that will get snappy if scared. She is
gaining confidence daily from being in a home environment, and she’d go
well as an only dog or with a confident dog that will help build her
confidence. She is close to pure Kelpie, and her body size and stride
shows this, and as such, she’ll make a great friend and loyal companion. Rescued:3 May 2005 Adopted: 12 May 2005
| Mr Personality: Denny Sex: Male Age: 12 months (approx) Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Cross Size: medium Description: Denny
is a happy, playful bundle of energy. He is a very affectionate and
attractive dog, who enjoys cuddles and tries very hard to fit into his
foster carer’s lap. A very devoted and loyal boy, Denny will bond
strongly to his special person and will enjoy just following them
around like a little spotty shadow. He is well socialised and
loves playing with other dogs. He has been trained to sleep in a crate
inside the house at night and when travelling in the car - which is
very convenient. Though he’s a little shy at first, Denny will make a
great pet for just about anyone. He’s never been on his own and
would love a doggie friend to keep him company when his people are
away. Denny will need regular exercise such as a walk or playing games
in the backyard, and lots of cuddles. He is a very intelligent dog and
will shine at obedience lessons or any other dog sports. Denny’s
a bright little button who is waiting hopefully for his special someone
to adopt him. Rescued: 9 November 2004 Adopted: 14 May 2005

| Name: Oscar Sex: Male Age: approx 4 months Breed: Terrier x (possibly Cairn) Size: Small Description: Oscar
is a cuddly gentle little fella whose laid back nature means he gets on
well with all family members ~ including cats! While he likes a game he
is not at all hyperactive and would prefer a quiet chomp on a bone or
sleep in the sun. A daily walk around the neighbourhood is a real
treat as his social skills are very good. He would be best with
an older owner(s) or a family with children over 7 years. Rescued:16 April 2005 Adopted: 18 May 2005
| A real cutie: Ricky Breed: Silkie cross Age: 4 months Sex: Male Size: Tiny Description:
Ricky is a bundle of energy and joy. He may be little, but is big on
personality. He loves 'active' playtime with other dogs and can hold
his own in a pack. A great little friend for a lonely dog who needs a
buddy. He's an excellent walker on the lead ... but not too far please,
as a 10min walk to the shops is a marathon for this little
fellow. Ricky will need some special time to help him settle into
his new home. But with puppy school and special daily one-on-one time
with his loving owner he will continue to grow into a beautiful boy. A
real cutie ~ you’ll quickly fall in love ~ I did. Rescued: 10 April 2005 Adopted: 17 May 2005

What a lovely example of a maltese. Happy, friendly, cuddly, easy
going, good with people (both adults and children) and other animals.

up on the lounge with you or sit at your feet. He plays well with our
dogs and gets on with our cat and kitten. BillyBob is good to groom,
even enjoying his bath and blowdry. BillyBob would be an asset to
many different family types, whether as an only dog or with another. Rescued: 14 May 2005 Adopted: 17 May 2005

an only dog. Rescued: 24 March 2005 Adopted: 21 May 2005

Leo would love a home with a doggy playmate and having children around

| Bright Spark: Elmo Sex: Male Age (approx): 2 years Breed: Terrier X Size: Small (4 kg) Description:
Wow! Elmo has settled into his new home now and his bountiful
personality is really starting to show. From a quiet little
fellow who spent quite a bit of time sleeping, Elmo has emerged into a
confident little dog who exudes loads of charisma! He struts
around the house with a wagging tail and a huge smile on his face that
makes him look a bit like one of those Chinese Dragons. He also
has this cute tuft of hair on top of his head that sometimes stands up
- giving him a real "gizmo" look. An endearing little dog who has
adopted my husband and spends most of his time following him around and
supervising his building skills on the old shearer's quarters on the
farm. He now plays with the other dogs and when he greets you it
is with lots of enthusiasm. Elmo is never far away. He is
very clever and knows how to sit on command, already knows his name,
comes when called and he has just started to play fetch with his new
found favourite ball. As Elmo is such a small fellow he wouldn't be
recommended for families with small children. Rescued: 27 March 2005 Adopted: 24 May 2005 |

What a cuddler! Dozer is such a friendly and affectionate pup, he
sooo wants people to like him, and he is convinced he fits comfortably
in my lap - but he's kidding himself. He's a happy and playful
dog and as well as people, Dozer loves other dogs, especially ones who

| Happy and gentle: Annie (now Maddi) Sex: Female Breed: Labrador X Cattle Dog Age: approx. 2 years Size: Medium/Large In the words of her new family:
Just letting you know about Annie (renamed Maddi). She's
gorgeous, fabulous, wonderful, intelligent, cute, special,
beautiful.......can you tell we are besotted with her? After
about a week of wondering where she was going next, Maddi started
to gain some confidence and I've never seen a tail wag so much.
Every one that has met her thinks she's fabulous. Last week while
we were walking it seemed that she suddenly realised she was a
dog and started running madly round in large circles, a big grin
on her face, bounding and jumping. She is a happy dog and has in
turn made us happy. She travels really well in the car and needs
little encouragement to jump in or to follow us anywhere.
Thank you so much for matching us up together. Rescued: 28 May 2005 Adopted: 1 June 2005

| Handsome and Loyal: Rusty (now Raiden) Sex: Male Age (approx): 10 weeks Breed: Crossbreed Size: Medium-Large Description:
Thought you might like an update on how little Raiden/Rusty is
going. He's such a good pup...he's the star of his puppy classes
at the RSPCA. On Saturday the trainers said that he's doing so
well they think he'd already be able to pass the level 3 obedience
class. He can sit, stay, shake hands, beg, lie down, come
when he's called, look you in the eye when you ask..and we're almost
there with the toilet training too!! He's very smart and eager to
please, so he's a real joy to teach. He's very affectionate, and
super-cute!! Raiden and Gaia really love each other a lot.
They snuggle up together, share their toys and play all the
time. Gaia is very protective of him, and when Raiden and the pup
from down the road, Georgie, play together, she keeps an eye on them
and steps in if they get too rough. If they're playing tug-of-war
and Georgie starts to growl, she'll break them up and give the toy to
Raiden! It's very sweet. I have attached a photo of the two
of them, basking in the sun on the weekend. Rescued: 1 May 2005 Adopted: 4 June 2005
| Oh so huggable: Chilli Age: (approx) 7 months Sex: male Breed: Staffy X Size: Medium Description:
Chilli is such a cute little character who just adores his
humans. He squeezes up against your leg and will lift his front
leg so you can give him a chest scratch but rarely does he jump up and
put his paws on you. Chilli is a great little pal who enjoys a
walk and is good on the lead. He has many of the lovely staffy
traits and will shower his owners with all they love he can give.
He is good with other dogs and seems to love children and be very good
with them too. Chilli's ideal home would be one that would let
him get involved, allow him inside, go on drives, lovely walks,
etc. One very loveable little chap who's ready to be your
heart-warmer! Rescued: 24 May 2005 Adopted: 4 June 2005 |

| Ahhhhhhhhhh: Mia (now Pia) Age (approx): 1 yr Sex: female Breed: Silky Terrier x Size: Small 2kg Description:
Mia is one of those delightful dogs who fits in easily and is no
trouble at all. She will be a great family pet as she loves older
children and gets on well with other dogs - although her tiny size
means she needs to be handled gently. Mia will chase a ball but
hasn't quite mastered the art of bringing it back! She loves to
be with you and will gladly accept all hugs and pats that come her way.
She is happy to curl up on a cushion or lap and have quiet time and she
is proving to be a willing student as I teach her some basic obedience
commands. Mia is a great dog with a great personality and will be
a lovely addition to a family, preferably where she has company most of
the time. Rescued: 14 April 2005 Adopted: 5 June 2005
| Totally devoted to you: Belle Sex: Female Breed: Staffy X Age: about 1 year Size: Medium Description:
If Belle could wear clothes, become a human, and hang out with other
humans I think she would. She loves people more than just about
anything, and when she's not in the house sticking close to you, she's
probably outside looking longingly at the window for your face to
appear. When you go to work she will sit patiently and wait for your
return - at which time she will welcome you home like a triumphant rock
star. Belle has had little training so far in her life, but
learns fast to do things that will make you happy. She is good
with older children, and gets on well with most dogs - both male and
female. She's interested in cats, but it appears to be an interest
based on playfulness rather than hate. Belle would be happy as an
only dog where there is someone home most of the time, or in a multiple
dog home. She does not have a high exercise demand, but will need
daily interaction and inclusion in her new family's activities. A
medium to large yard with good fences is required. Rescued: 18 May 2005 Adopted: 5 June 2005

| Teddy Bear: Clifford Sex: Male Breed: Cocker Spaniel X Golden Retriever Age: 2 years Size: Medium Description:
What a sweet dog Clifford is! A furry fellow who resembles a
large cocker spaniel in looks but has a gorgeous wagging tail, grin and
will to please of a Golden Retriever. Clifford has grown up with
small children and though can be a little boisterous at times has shown
that he enjoys kids, especially if they will play fetch and give him
pats. Apparently he can also climb up small slippery dips and
slide down like the kids! Previously only allowed in the laundry,
Clifford's breed underscores his need for being included in the family
as much as possible and to be allowed inside. He is quite good in
the house and craves a feeling of closeness with his family. He
is quite active and will need regular exercise to keep him happy.
Clifford is good with other dogs and would love another doggy companion
in his new home. Rescued: 17 June 2005 Adopted: 27 June 2005
| Another Foster Failure: Poncho Sex: Male Age: about 3 or 4 years Breed: Chihuahua Size: Small Description: Poncho
is a wonderful dog with a lovely temperament and no 'issues'.
Relaxed and confident Poncho gets on well with other dogs and is
very happy to be given lots of human attention too. He is house
trained and can use a doggie door. Chihuahuas don't cope well
being alone for long stretches so Poncho would be happiest with
human or doggy company in his new home. Being so small he is not
suitable for a rough and tumble play with children. Poncho is a
perfect little gem who will make a wonderful, easy care pet. Rescued: 23 May 2005 Adopted: (adopted by foster carer) 9 June 2005

| Cute to Boot: Georgie Sex: Female Age: About 6 months Breed: Border Collie X Size: Medium Description:
Despite Georgie’s very hard start to life, she is an extremely bright
and engaging young lassie. Full of front and spunk, but at the same
time very gentle. Georgie has learnt to trust and love her dog friends,
and is very friendly and affectionate with people, including a baby who
she currently lives with. Georgie clearly wants to attach to her
special someone, and will reward them with oodles of loving and play.
Georgie has a permanent smile, and is very eager to please and coupled
with her intelligence, it makes her a very fast learner. Georgie is a
dream traveller in the car, is house trained and very good lying
on her blanket inside. Georgie is also proving to be good with
livestock. Georgie will require regular exercise and plenty of
stimulation to keep her happy and healthy, but considering her youth
and breeding she pretty laid back. She would however make an excellent
candidate for any sort of dog-related sport. Rescued: 16 May 2005 Adopted: 10 June 2005
| A Real Softy: Bear Sex: Male Age: (approx) 2 years Breed: Shepherd x Mastiff Size: Large Description:
Bear is an easy going lad who has adapted quickly and comfortably to
his foster home. Bear just loves affection, as soon as you sit down, in
fact sometimes while you're still on the go, Bear will sit on his
haunches in front of you, present both paws and a big beaming smile
waiting for a cuddle. For a dog that had nothing in his life prior to
being rescued, Bear has really come a long way whilst in foster care.
He gets on very well with other dogs and loves to play big wrestling
games. He is house trained, has nice indoor manners and is generally
obedient. He walks well on the lead and is easy to exercise. For such a
big dog Bear is extremely gentle and would make a lovely relaxed family
pet. Rescued: 21 March 2005 Adopted: 4 June 2005 |

| Roly Poly: Chloe Sex: Female Breed: Chihuahua Size: Small Age: 9 years Description:
Chloe was the much loved and "well fed” devoted companion to an elderly
man who unfortunately had to go in to a Nursing home, Chloe’s family
then dumped her in the pound. She is a lovely girl and although
was an only dog while with her previous owner she is a very socialized
little girl as she gets on very well with all my other pooches.
Chloe is house trained and uses the doggie door, she sleeps all night
without soiling inside and is in the traditional Chihuahua breed a real
delight (I am somewhat biased as I just adore the breed and have 4 of
my own). As Chihuahuas have a long life span, I know that Chloe
will, once she gets her waist line back where it should be, will have
many more years left in her. Chloe would be best suited in a home with
a semi retired or retired person/persons so she can live out her years
in the comfort, warmth and loving environment that she had with her
previous owner. Rescued: 5 June 2005 Adopted: 13 June 2005
| Soft and Delightful: Holly Sex: Female Age (approx): 1-2 years Breed: Tenterfield X Size: Small Description:
Holly is a total delight to have around with her very endearing kind
temperament. She is quiet and very soft natured and her most
favourite thing is to be close by, actually curled up, cuddling you on
your lap to be precise. Holly is no trouble at all and her slightly
scruffy coat is very easy care. She is friendly with other dogs
and cats and tries very hard to do the right thing. This
gorgeous, easy-going sweetie would fit in to most home situations and
appears to be housetrained. Rescued: 7 May 2005 Adopted: 12 June 2005

cute little guy has a very sunny personality. Percy is cheerful about
everything, busy as a bee and gets on well with every dog he meets,
including grumpy ones. He also loves children and is gentle enough to
be a good playmate for them. Percy is well behaved, affectionate,
housetrained and obedient. He is confident but not willful, brave
and protective, but not a yapper. Percy has moderate exercise
needs and is always on the go (except when he's cuddling in a lap). He
would make a great companion to another active playful dog Rescued:1 June 2005 Adopted: 13 June 2005

| Big, gentle sook: Gypsy Sex: Female Age (approx): 12 months Breed:Crossbreed Size: Large Description:
Gypsy is a lovely gentle dog, who loves a cuddle and enjoys spending
time with her human family. She gets on well with my 2 other dogs and
has fun play wrestling. She doesn't appear to be interested in my cat.
Gypsy will need some basic training, although for a young dog she is
mature and calm so even with a lack of training, she is easy to handle
and is very well behaved. She will repond to "no", so that's a great
start! She is learning not to jump up, and seems to be picking up new
commands very quickly. Gypsy is a stunner of a dog, attracting
attention because of her beautiful, but unusual colouring. She would be
best suited to a family with older children due to her size, and would
probably be fine as an only dog if her family were around a lot,
although i am sure she would appreciate some doggy company now and then. Rescued: 17 May 2005 Adopted: 17 June 2005
| Golden Teddy Bear: Jamie Sex: Male Breed: Labrador x Golden Retriever Age: 2 years Size: Large Description:
A big gentle smiley bear of a dog, Jamie loves everyone, grownups,
kids, other dogs, and you can tell where he is around the house by the
'thump thump' of his wagging tail on the walls and floor. Jamie is
housetrained and loves the indoor lifestyle. He has nice indoor
manners, doesn't jump up, comes when called, and is therefore a delight
to take on off-lead walks. Jamie is an affectionate and cuddly
boy who will make a gorgeous family pet, suitable for children of any
age. A moderately active dog, Jamie will require regular exersise and
would love to be Adopted with a doggy playmate of any size. He
has the short coat of a labrador and the happy effusive nature of a
golden retriever. A beautiful dog and a real catch. Rescued: 11 June 2005 Adopted: 18 June 2005

| Spunky: Memphis Sex: Male Breed: Cross breed (maybe Ridgeback) Age: 5-6 months Size: Medium Description:
What an absolutle spunk! Memphis is a happy loving boy, on his first
night I had him drapped across my lap, legs dangling, giving him
a brush and he just lay there lapping up the attention, no wriggling,
no trying to bite the brush just lapping it all up. Memphis is
extremely well mannered for a little tacker, he sits, stays (for a
while) drops, comes when called and is housetrained. He is
attentive when walking off lead, stopping to look back and check
everything OK every now and then, this is an excellent start for a
really responsive and easy to train dog. Being young, Memphis
still has that puppy playfulness and he loves a rumble with his other
doggy mates He also loves a walk or a game of fetch and is well
past that puppy nipping stage. Memphis is an easy going gentle
boy who would make an wonderful additional to any family, with or
without kids, able to continue his training and give him that daily
burst of exercise. Rescued: 17 June 2005 Adopted: 24 June 2005

This civilised little man is so polite and well mannered and he lives
to love you. His favourite thing is to be snuggled up close to his
special person, gazing deeply and lovingly at them. Pierre has all the

happy to stay out of the way while you do the housework or eat your
dinner. His exercise needs will be easily met with a gentle stroll
around the block each day or if you prefer, he is very happy to
accompany you on long off-lead walks through bushland. Pierre is an

if you leave him alone sometimes. He is cheerful and confident, and

devoted and loyal. Rescued: 20 May 2005 Adopted: 27 June 2005
