ARF Bronze Dogs available for adoption         bronze

ARF dogs are in temporary foster care and seeking suitable permanent loving homes. ARF dogs are microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated,  wormed and health-checked. To help cover these costs, ARF asks for an adoption fee contribution of $300 (incl GST)  per dog (or $150 (incl GST)  for dogs over 8 years old) plus any donations people may wish to make. For more information on why ARF charges a rescue contribution, what the benefits are, and what our actual costs are, please choose from the following topics:

Bronze dogs have sound temperaments but will have some quirks that need ironing out by their new family.

Bronze dogs are usually quite active and require daily training in a committed home.

Bronze dogs may be dogs that have had a difficult start to life.  They may have never received any training before or have been neglected (or even abused) or under socialised.

Our Bronze dogs can be some of the most rewarding - as we watch them blossom into the wonderful dogs we know they can be!

A BRONZE DOG may suit you/your family if you:

  • have access to and be willing to seek professional training advice if required (such as one on one training)
  • have solid 5 foot minimum fences
  • can provide daily exercise and daily training for your new dog
  • have owned more than one dog before or completed training with previous dogs
  • have another dog in your home that has no behaviour problems
  • do not have young children in your home

Bellla

Bella
Beautiful and Sweet: Belle
Sex: Female
Age: Approximately 6 months
Breed: Staffy cross Ridgeback
Size: Medium when mature
Description: Belle is a darling  youngster with the most beautiful ridge down her back like a small dinosaur.  She is still quite dainty and log legged like a beautiful leggy model and I suspect that she will grow up to look like a miniature (Staffy sized) Ridgeback.

She can be shy with people and other dogs when she first meets them but is bright and playful like most pups with my older dogs.  Like all small animals she can be mischievous, stealing my ball of kitting wool or my slippers, so a home with lots of family interaction, training, walks, toys and another active young dog would be essential for Belle to fulfil her promise as a beautiful companion and well balanced family member.

Belle loves to please and will sit for a treat, and comes when called.  She can “wait” for her dinner, walks well on a lead and is working on drop.  Belle will need further puppy socialisation and training to round out her education.
Belle is very clean and a quick brush once a week on her fine soft coat would be all that was needed to “maintain” her “look”.  As a short coated dog she certainly feels the cold so she would need to sleep indoors overnight and wear a warm coat during Canberra’s cold Winters.

Sweet, cuddly, Belle is a very special  girl who has captured our hearts, so we are looking for a very special home for her.

Belle will be microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed and available for $300 (incl GST).

If you would like to find out more about Belle please contact Ann.
