  | Gorgeous: Grace Sex: female Age: 14 weeks Breed: cross breed Size: large when mature Description: Grace is a sweet and gentle girl who has had a hard start to life, ending up at the pound at a tender age! Grace has just joined the ARF family, but has already won the hearts of her foster carers. Grace loves attention and affection, and gets on very well with other dogs - though people are her first love. She is smart and eager to please, and is quickly making up for lost time in picking up new skills like sitting for her dinner and learning to walk on lead. Because she's spent so much of her short life in a pen, Grace is a bit shy when she meets new people and goes to new places; but she is eager to improve her social skills to become a dog about town and hit the latte circuit. Grace would thrive with another, older dog for company. Grace is looking for a family that will include her in their daily life, and give her regular exercise and training so that she can grow up to become the perfect companion dog. | Super Cute Bundle of Energy: Jake Sex: Male Age: approx 4 1/2 months Breed: Foxie x Size: Small/Medium (May be medium when mature) Description: Jake has grown immensely in confidence since he has been in care and is quickly learning his lessons. He lacked confidence when he first came into care, however within a couple of days he has become a very outgoing young man who loves everyone. He has learnt to sit, wait and come when called. While people are his greatest love he gets on well with other dogs. Yesterday, he had a wonderful time playing with Jenny, a 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier foster. Jake also gets on well with cats and loves to have a game with 2 rescue kittens that I currently have. He is good on lead, in the car and is good to bath. His short easy care coat only requires a quick brush through occasionally. He is a reasonably active fellow who will require regular exercise and things to keep his active mind busy. Jake is only a young man and is looking for a home where he will be included in all aspects of family life. Jake will benefit attending formal obedience training, not only to build a relationship with his new owners but to also become the best pet that he can. | here |    | Beautiful and Sweet: Belle Sex: Female Age: Approximately 3 months Breed: Staffy cross Ridgeback Size: Medium when mature Description: Belle is a darling little pup with the most beautiful ridge down her back like a little dinosaur. She is still quite small and I suspect that she will grow up to look like a miniature (Staffy sized) Ridgeback. She can be shy with people when she first meets them but is bright and playful like most pups, with her foster brother Joey who she loves to play fight and chase. Like all small animals she can be mischievous, stealing my ball of kitting wool or my slippers, so a home with lots of family interaction, training, walks, toys and another active young dog would be essential for Belle to fulfil her promise as a beautiful companion and well balanced family member. Belle is very curious and loves to explore so the family who considers her for her forever home will need to know how to puppy proof their home for this little girl. Belle loves a cuddle and because she has a fine soft coat and feels the cold, she would need to sleep indoors overnight and wear a warm coat during Canberra’s cold Winters. Belle, although young, loves to please and will sit for a treat, or come when called. She walks well on a lead and is working hard to get her toilet training completed. Belle will need further puppy socialisation and training to round out her education. Sweet, cuddly, Belle is a very special little girl who has captured our hearts, so we are looking for a very special home for her. Expressions of interest are welcome at any time but she will not be ready from re-homing until at least mid-May.
