| Silver dogs
are generally
more active and may need a little work on things
such as jumping up or pulling on lead. Silver dogs typically respond very well to training and suit homes where they are included in family activities and are provided with daily mental and physical stimulation. .

Gooey and Gorgeous: Toffee Age: 5 years Breed: Jack Russell Sex: Female Size: Small Activity Level: Moderate Description: Through no fault of her own Toffee is looking for a new forever home due to an overseas posting. I have known Toffee since she was a little pup and she holds a very special place in my heart so this is why it is so important to me that she finds the most fantastic home. Toffee is a gorgeous little snuggle bum that loves to snuggle with you on the sofa or in your bed!!! She lives with 2 cats, she is great friends with one of them and she tries to steer clear of the other one. She loves to be part of the family, she loves the car and she loves having walks. One of Toffee’s big loves is the ball, she adores to play fetch and she always has the ball nearby almost like a comforter, it is very cute. Toffee is OK with other dogs but is wary to start with as she has lived most of her life as a single dog so hasn’t had the best socialisation. Toffee doesn’t have many demands for her home she just wants to be loved, cherished and included. Toffee is a smart cookie and learns things quickly, she is motivated by treats. Toffee is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, and available for $300 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Toffee? | Gentle
Jackson Age: 3 yrs Breed: Scruffy Terrier mix Sex: male Size: small/medium (5.5kgs) Activity Level: low/medium Description: - Jackson is a calm, quiet and gentle boy, who is a little unsure about the world around him. Whilst Jackson does not appear to have had any formal training, he has lovely manners and is house-trained. Jackson’s confidence has been increasing daily since he arrived in foster care, and he is now showing his playful side. Jackson is very affectionate and loves to relax with you on the couch, or at your feet. He would be an ideal second dog as he would love a doggie companion he could cosy up to and have a gentle play with. He would also thrive in a quiet home with older children who would include him in their activities, or as an only dog with a stay-at-home owner. His exercise needs are minimal; he is a bit of a home-body. Jackson’s scuffy coat is low maintenance, requiring an occasional brush. Jackson is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, and available for $300 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Jackson? Lovable
Character: KC Sex: Female Age: 1 year Breed: Staffy Size: Medium Are you a special family looking for a special dog to join you? KC is a dear girl with a friendly nature who is looking for that special family. KC does have some special needs as she has had demodectic mange in her recent past. She has recovered from this now, however needs a special family that can ensure that she is monitored in her future and to keep her happy and healthy. She gets on well with our dogs, and loves a good romp with them and loves games with toys. She can be a little boisterous at times but is generally a good natured pup who is keen to please. KC would do best in a home with family that can continue her training and take her out and about with them. She does need some confidence building as at times she is unsure of herself when out walking. KC would best suit a family that has had dogs before and would be happy to provide her with dog training. KC needs to be allowed inside to be a part of the family. KC would be delighted if her house had another dog for company. KC is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed and available for $300 (incl GST). If you would like to find out more about KC please contact Raelene. Brilliant Bosco Age: 5 yrs Breed: Jack Russell/Foxie x Sex: male Size: small Activity Level: moderate Description: Bosco is a happy little boy. He is settling in well and enjoying his new life playing with the other dogs. He gets on well with dog of all sizes although a little nervous of the big ones. He is a very affectionate little dog with a calm nature and is happy to follow me around, and snuggle in the evening with his head on my knee. He is toilet trained and sleeps quietly in the laundry at night. He can sit, wait for his food and wait when a door opens instead of rushing through and we have yet to hear him bark. Bosco is hoping for a happy calm home with lots of cuddles as he has a lot of love to give. He would be suitable for a family with older children as he quite small and if an only dog, he would be better with someone who was not away from home for long periods of time. He is moderately active and loves going for his daily walk. Bosco has a soft short coat which needs only a weekly brush to keep it in condition. Please contact me if you would like to meet Bosco Bosco is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, and available for $300 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Bosco? Big
Beautiful:
Tulip Age: 2 ½ years Breed: Mastiff Cross Sex: Female Size: Large Description: I think the best way to describe Tulip is to say that she’s a giant teddy bear disguised as a guard dog. She’s a very impressive looking girl with a real presence. She gives a bit of a bark when people are around and does a very good impression of a guard dog when out and about in the yard generally (especially when she pops her head over the fence to see what’s happening), but she’s just a big marshmallow underneath. Tulip is a total softy who loves nothing more than being with her people and showing them how much she loves them. For such a big boisterous looking dog she sure is very gentle and loving. She adores resting her head on your shoulder in preparation for a big bear hug from her human. Tulip is a gentle giant – a big girl with a big heart. She has a calm and easygoing nature and has adjusted very well to her foster home. She is loving being with her new foster siblings (which include a great dane cross, an elderly bull terrier cross and a young kelpie cross) and has found a good friend to play with in the youngest of them. Tulip travels beautifully in the car, is house trained and has shown a real willingness to learn and to please her humans. Basically, Tulip is a real gem and has been a wonderful addition to her foster home. Tulip is a very special girl who deserves an exceptional home where she can receive at least as much love as she will willingly give in return. Tulip will be ready to be rehomed in a few weeks, when she will be microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, and available for $300 (incl GST) Would you like to find out more about Tulip? | Marvelous Charli Age: approx 9 months Breed: Wolfhound X Sex: Male Size: Medium/large Description: Charli is a young dog who is enthusiastic about everything. He is a happy active boy who is looking for a family who can give him lots of exercise and will also be willing to train him. He enjoys playing with toys, loves chasing a tennis ball and playing with other dogs. He travels well in the car and enjoys going for walks although he needs some practice walking on the lead. Charli would be best in a family with children over 10 years. Although Charli requires a home with secure fencing, he only wanders when trying to find his family and is happy to stay in the backyard with his toys when the fences are 2 metres high. He has a short coat which will be easy to maintain with a regular weekly brush. Please contact me if you would like to meet Charli. Charli is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, and available for $300 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Charli? Pretty
pup: Pearl Sex: female Age: approx 7-9 months old Breed: Terrier x Size: Small/Medium Description: This long-legged miss is a super-smart pup who learned to sit and use the dog door in record time! She certainly knows what she needs to do to earn a treat or pat - that bottom goes down on the ground every time! She's full of energy and cuteness so will need a family prepared to continue her training and allow her to be part of family life. Pearl would really excel with training and being a quick learner would make it a pleasure to teach her. We often don't know anything about their past (other than the pound they came from) but it's always interesting to see their personalities come to life after a week or two in foster care. We definitely know she loves people as one of her favourite things when you come home is to wag her whole body and melt into you for a pat and cuddle! We suspect in her previous home she didn't get out much as she's very interested (and a little unsure) of new things around her. Exposing her to more of the world outside would really help her grow and blossom into a wonderful adult dog. Pearl is very good with other dogs and is happy to play and run around with my own three male terriers who she quickly became friends with. However, she can be a little boisterous with the other dogs but she is learning (or the other dogs are teaching her) not to be so enthusiastic and she’s definitely learning fast! Although Pearl is good with other dogs her first love is people so a home without another dog would be fine as long as she wasn't left alone for long hours everyday and she had exercise and stimulation. She'd also be best suited to a quiet home with children over 10 years. Pearl will need to sleep inside at night and be allowed inside to be part of family life. Pearl has one brown eye and one blue eye which gives her a very pretty 'stand out in the crowd' look! This little darling is a sweety ready to reward her new family with lots of love and devotion. Pearl is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated and wormed and is available for $300 incl GST). If you would like to find out more about Pearl please Contact: Lyn Email: Lyn Phone: 02 6248 0906 Sponsors: Would you like to help ARF rescue more pups and dogs like Pearl? |
