| Cheerful Tug Age: approx 3 years Breed: Shih Tzu Sex: Male Size: Small Description: Tug is a happy confident boy who gets on well with large and small dogs and enjoys playing with them. He walks well on a lead and loves going for a walk. He quickly made friends with the other dogs and settled in to his foster home with a minimum of fuss, checking out the dog beds in the kitchen then hopping into the bed which had his rug in it. He would suit a family who are looking for a gentle and affectionate companion. He has a calm nature and will sit beside you, or on your knee and just watch whatever is going on.. He is house trained and sleeps inside at night, knows that it isn’t polite to jump on the furniture unless invited and is happy to snooze in his basket when there is much nothing going on. He travels well in the car and comes with his own travel crate, jacket, blanket and collar. Tug’s exercise needs are moderate and he would need a regular walk. His fine white coat needs a regular brush to keep it in good condition. He is available for adoption from 3 September 2008 Tug is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and available for $253 (incl GST). | Marvellous: Mischka Age: approx 3 years Breed: Pomeranian Sex: Male Size: Small Description: Poor little Mischka has had a very rough time from humans in his short life, which has made him uncertain of people. He has the typical, happy pomeranian personality, however someone has frightened him with rough treatment. Mischka's confidence in people has grown considerably since he came into care however he needs someone special to be able to help him develop his confidence further. He loves to greet you with a very happy dance and tail wag when you get home and to sit nearby while you cook dinner or watch telly. He loves a cuddle and a soothing tummy rub too, but he really loves to share some peanut butter toast in the morning. He sleeps happily in his crate at night and travels well in the car. He is good with our cats inside, however he thinks it is a bit of a game to chase them if they are outside. He has also fitted in well with my two other dogs. Mischka will need someone who is home most of the time and/or a home where he will have another doggy companion. If you have the love and the time help Mischka he would love to meet you. Mischka is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and available for $253 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Mischka? | Gentle Jenny Age: approx 4 to 5 years Breed: Terrier X Sex: Female Size: Small Description: Jenny is a calm and gentle little girl who gets on well with people, and with dogs of all sizes. She has a sweet personality and displays a quiet confident manner. She walks well on a lead and loves going for a walk, is house trained and sleeps inside at night. Jenny follows us around, always knows where we are, and loves to jump up on our knees sitting quietly just enjoying being with us. She would be an ideal companion for a retired person or couple and would be fine as the only dog as long as she wasn’t on her own for long hours at a time. Jenny’s exercise needs are moderate but would need a regular walk. Her short low maintenance coat needs only a regular weekly brush to keep it in good condition. Jenny is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and available for $253 (incl GST). Would you like to find out more about Jenny? Companionable: Toby Sex: Male Age: approx 10 years old Breed: Maltese X Size: Small Description: Toby is a friendly fellow who really enjoys life. He loves company - both human and doggy - and likes to hang around where you are and have a cuddle, and explore, or just chill out. Toby is pretty remarkable, as he is deaf, and his eyesight is not the best, but he doesn't let this dampen his spirit or his enjoyment of life. He copes with new experiences remarkably well. He loves to get out an about, meet people, say hello to other dogs, and of course have a good sniff around. He doesnt like cats though, so needs to go to a cat free family. Toby does enjoy the company of other dogs, and another dog could help him by being his 'ears', so a home with another companionable dog would be great, but is not necessary. What Toby must have though is a home where his people are around for most of the time, and where he is allowed inside as part of family life. Toby also has some arthritis, and is currently on medication to ease this (his current medication will last a year). His eyesight problems are caused by cateracts, and he may eventually go blind, so he would do best in a quiet home. Toby has a lot of love to give, and he is available for an adoption donation to a home who can give him the comfortable retirement he deserves. Toby is microchipped, desexed, C5 vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and available for an adoption donation.
